B.C. @ OTTAWA: Thursday August 25th 7:30PM:
This week kicks off with a matchup between two squads who were both thumped at home last week. The Lions were stampeded by Calgary 37-9 and the Redblacks were cut to pieces by the Alouettes. Ottawa has announced Trevor Harris will get the start in this one. The Redblacks have struggled to put games in the win column since Harris went down, winning just once, by three points and losing three. Ottawa at home with Harris by 10: 36-26
WINNIPEG @ MONTREAL: Friday August 26th 7:00PM:
Kevin Glenn had a great game last week throwing for five touchdowns in a trouncing of the Redblacks. Winnipeg comes to town after the bye last week and Matt Nichols hasn't lost since taking over the starting job. Winnipeg by 6: 34-28
SASKATCHEWAN @ EDMONTON: Friday August 26th 10:00 PM:
The Riders season is quickly galloping away from them. They need a win- and they need it now- so the last thing they need this week is a trip to Edmonton to take on the Eskimos. The Eskimos are back on track and will get their record above .500 once again at the expense of the reeling Riders. Edmonton by 14: 38-24.
HAMILTON @ CALGARY: Sunday August 28th 7:00 PM:
The Stampeders haven't lost a game since week one when they lost by two points in B.C. The Ti-Cats scored 53 points last week at home against the Roughriders and came roaring back the week before in B.C., only to fall short by seven- 45-38. Hang onto the old saddle horn- it is going to be a wild Sunday night in the Stampede Corral. Hamilton by 10: 42-32
1)TREVOR HARRIS-OTTAWA REDBLACKS: Before being sidelined by injury Harris was tearing up the CFL. Should fare well in his return against B.C.
2)ZACH COLLAROS-HAMILTON TIGER-CATS: Has shaken off any rust from being out with injury, as evidenced by his 381-yard, 5-TD passing performance in week 9.
2)MIKE REILLY- EDMONTON ESKIMOS: The consistent Eskimos QB has a favorable matchup at home against Saskatchewan. More on CFL quarterbacks in Notebook
1)BRANDON RUTLEY-MONTREAL ALOUETTES: Has rushed for between 42 and 48 yards for the last five games. Factor in receiving and Rutley is a good pick.
2)JOHN WHITE- EDMONTON ESKIMOS: Had 89 combined yards last week, tops among running backs.
3)ANDREW HARRIS- WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS: Had a bye week last week but had 19 carries for 123 yards two weeks ago.
1)TERRANCE TOLLIVER- HAMILTON TIGER-CATS: Has a touchdown reception in three of the last four games. His average yards per reception per game has increased every game.
2)ERNEST JACKSON- OTTAWA REDBLACKS: Has a touchdown reception in each of the last three games.
3)ADARIUS BOWMAN/DEREL WALKER- EDMONTON ESKIMOS: Both receivers will probably be prime targets for QB Mike Reilly and should benefit from favorable matchup against Saskatchewan.
